Sara Looney earned her Master's Degree in Classical 5 Element Acupuncture from the Institute of Taoist Education and Acupuncture in May 2007. This four-year program consisted of 3,500 hours of education and 540 hours of clinical practice. She is certified and licensed as a Diplomate in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She holds certifications in Clean Needle Technique and CPR. She is a member of the Acupuncture Association of Colorado, the AOM Alliance, and is a registered acupuncturist in the state of Colorado.
Sara is a certified Reiki Master Teacher and other training includes adjunctive therapies such as: yoga, structural energy alignment, bioenergy balancing, Swedish massage, Seichim, spiritual counseling, dietary and lifestyle recommendations. She has been a healer and yoga teacher for 20 years, and her presence has a healing effect. She is knowledgeable and experienced in the world of science as well as the healing arts. Her brilliance and compassion shine through, as she understands healing, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Healing energy flows through her like a peaceful river.
Sara also has a degree in Electrical Engineering (and used to work for NASA) and enjoys making up silly songs or writing poetry. She also receives darshan with Ammachi as often as possible.
